Blog Reflection - WEEK NINE
This week me and my partner done a photo shoot, to have a selection of images for our magazine advert and digipack. We used the same outfit that we drew and attempted to take pictures the same way they were drawn so it was accurate. I was the model for this as I am the artist in the video too. The aim in this photoshoot was for me to look like a sophisticated role model. In the survey monkey questionnaire that we done, we found that people wanted the artist to be trendy, so I had a midi dress on and a statement necklace, because that is what is in fashion at the moment. The pictures that we took were made to show the artist as powerful, which was done through the way the head was positioned. For example in some my head is tilted back and looking down at the photo which shows a sense of power, showing that whoever is going to see this is weaker than her. This is good for the female audience as they will see that women can be stronger than women, just by the way they look at something. This is another way of making her a good role model, because a lot of the time women in pictures look up at the camera through their eyelashes, which is seen as flirty and weak. Overall this was a successful photo shoot and we are now able to cut and edit these pictures on to our digipack and magazine advert.

WEEK EIGHT - Blog Reflection
This week was mine and Hardeep's first week of filming. This was done at Joe's house, where we done bedroom, dining room and kitchen scenes. These were fun to do and also interesting as we got different angles and experimented a lot with the shots that we done. These were the happy scenes, which were quite easy to film as the shots are mostly static. We found that it was difficult to film as the house was so bright and the sun was shining through, so we had to adjust the curtains and keep moving the camera about in order the picture to come out clear. This had to be tampered with a lot before we were able to film, however we did get the hang of it and got a lot of footage from it. We only concentrated on these scenes this week as we thought as it was the first week, we would just see how it went and thought we'd get them out of the way as they were the easiest ones to do and now we can concentrate on all of the other scenes.
However, we know that it is going to be difficult when it comes to the fighting scenes as we discussed what we might do in these scenes at the house as we will be using some the same rooms, so we need to figure out how to use our space wisely and because we have already been there, we are now more aware of the space we can use and the way we will be able to shoot them in order for them to actually be successful.

WEEK SEVEN - Blog Reflection

This week Hardeep done the location reccie post, which shows the locations we are going to be using and why. We had to discuss this together as we needed to make sure we were making the right decisions and thought of the things that we were both good at, in order for us to be more successful as we didn't want one person doing something that they would struggle on as we thought that it wouldn't be fair for either of us as we'd be letting letting us both down. Also this week we both done the shot list for the music video which we both found difficult. Even though we both knew what we wanted to actually achieve, and we were able to look at our treatment to see what our ideas actually were, we still found it hard to come up with the exact shots and make them actually look good. We also had to think hard about availability of the locations and whether or not what we thought was realistic and we think that we made the right decisions. I think that although these locations are available, it may be hard to actually fiml there, for example a party and on at an event where there are fireworks, as the lighting may not be good enough, so may not show up on the camera, however we do have back ups for this so we should still be successful at the music video. Also, we had to think of whether or not we wanted any font in the music video as that would take up time in the music video too. Also, we found it hard when it came to writing the duration as we had to listen to the song quite a few times for it to match correctly. However, although it took a long time, we came out successfully and we will be using this throughout our production.
This week I also done the production schedule on when we were going to film as we thought it would be a lot more organised if we had this. we had to discuss this as we needed to know when we were both available, along with the other character, some of these days may of been impossible to film on.
